Who has the most power then?

Is it still Nick?

Would be nice to get an up to date league table going. Hopefully raise some banter and discussion!!biggrin

Have a couple of specialy re-built engines on there way so at least i can see what figures i'm aiming for.

To get the ball rolling, My current engine.

When I had the engine apart found out it had Tuscan racer rods, so my guess would be it's a race lump.
I know the guy who specked the car up, he owns Casoli motto the Ducati and MV builders, he's a stickler for detail and wouldn't except anything but the best.

He upset the whole factory whilst in build; nothing was good enough, so good for me.
My Cerb made 406 in standard trim with cats, no remap on long pipes, though Jules did comment that the mapping was good to start with.
Maybe they made a special one so as not to get any come-back.

I know the guys who do the Wilder stuff for Phil, commented that it was a very well put together engine, and perfectly balanced.

Though I have recently been messing about with it, I wanted to try and get the adaptives as close together as possible.
Well I checked the flow to each cylinder with the syncrometer and they were well out 5-6 three and four on another. I realized I was wasting my time trying to balance the air flow across the banks whilst the banks weren’t flowing equally.

Next I got hold of some screws, the ones that hold the throttle butterfly to the spindle, an afternoon later I had a selection of drilled out screws.
I made 1mm, 1.5mm and 2mm holes through the screw, I only needed the 1mm ones in the end on two pots, anything more than this would flow too much air.
Anyway banks balanced, it was a much easier job, though the Ecu is still trimming away, as Jules mentioned in one of the adaptive style threads, if the car drives well low down pulls hard what’s the problem.

I had a great blast tonight, had the laptop on the passenger seat, adaptives were being trimmed and I couldn’t get them that close, but you know what it flies.

So as far as the most powerful AJP it’s me, I wonder if anyone will ever see 450bhp, can a 4.5 flow enough for that?
Brummie, could you turbo charge that setup of yours?

Your car did make 451 on my dyno with straight pipes on the inlets Nick. Just that by the time you've put bent pipes into airboxes and fed it through convoluted hoses from the front of the car 10hp goes away ..

Mine last time on the rollers made 539bhp/531lbs, the engine is now in pieces and growing by 600cc, flowed heads increased compression/squish, valve deshrouding, and a totally thorough balancing, i could go wilder on the cam, but i do use it in the real world, traffic jams etc, so reluctant to do so. If i was going to turbo it, it would mean junking the pistons i just bought! so no. But 1000+bhp would be a laugh!

To many people on this forum arguing and worrying about residuals!! Relax!! Lets chat about power!!! These Cerbs are about fun and enthusiasts trying to make them faster!

Also i'm trying to own the most powerfull AJP!thumbup (That we know of)

Maybee we should have measured power/wieght figures instead! I may be in with a shout there.tongue out

Anyone wieghed there Cerb recently? Especialy the LS ones.
