My car is, at this precise moment in time, happily pissing coolant all over my drive. It looks like it's coming from the bottom drivers side of the block. Is there a "bottom hose" from the rad heading back that way, or something?

Hmmm, could be. I'm just removing the sump plate thing to get a decent look, but it looks like it's a hose, so far....

Fingers crossed!

yes there is a bottom hose there mine went in Le Mans it is under the plate takes longer to get the plate off and on again than it takes to replace the hose. the hose is only about 150mm long.

Good luck

Yep, bottom hose split just by the jubilee clip. Off to the local motor factors to buy a new one......... yeah, like I should be so lucky!!

On the off chance that my friendly mechanics cannot provide me with the necessary part, anybody recommend anywhere to get a new piece of hose from?

Actually, while it is all apart and I'm replacing one of the hoses... I'm thinking I may as well take the whole lot apart, treat and paint the metal parts and replace all the hoses. I know one of the others looks baggier than a clowns trousers and is seeping past the clip a bit (tightened the clip up, but it's still weeping).

Has anybody bought the "hose kit" from TVR Car Parts or Clever Trevor? Does it include all the required hoses, or only some?

Also, has anybody had hoses from elsewhere?

I'd take the opportunity of upgrading it with a silicon hose (ie: Samco) if I were you. I think Tim @ ACT should be able to sort you out.

lol, I wish I could, but it's my "daily drive" and can't afford to have it off the road for too long!
