After around 3.5 Years away from TVR ownership I am looking to come back into the fold with a Cerbera towards the end of this year (this will hopefully be my fourth TVR)..

My drive is sloped and I had no issues with my previous two Chim's I wondered does anyone know exactly how much lower a standard Cerbera is than a Chim..

In typical TVR gauge reading fashion semi-accurate estimates will do

Thanks

I haven't had a problem going onto sloping drives, the only problem is going onto drives with a crest. My friends can get their sag onto their drive easily, but mine bottoms out and leaves nice grooves in the tarmac... getmecoat

My drive does have a crest as it goes from the pavement and slopes up....was fine in the chim but with the Cerbera being longer it may bottom out in the middle..

Guess I should test drive one at Fernies (know them all very well) and give it a go..either that or get creative with some cement..

Depends on suspension settings, exhaust system, tyres, previous owners setup

But, the lowest points on the car are usually the seat bolts or the bolts holding the metal plate over the tunnel. Mine are about 90mm from the road surface.

For a slope though you're more likely to scrape the front chin spoiler or rear tailpipes, depending on slope angle, direction, parking technique etc, but i'd have thought if you'd got a Chim in then you'd be ok with a Cerbera.

Hi All

I have a drive with a crest and find that if i reverse the Cerb onto the drive and down into the garage it doesn't ground at all. There is however a small scrape if i drive on forwards. Trial and error will tell with your car/drive combinations.

Regards
Simon

I've just lowered mine back down slightly and I have a slope onto the drive and then a hefty slopy in the garage. I can just about get up and down the slope on to the drive without a problem. However, the garage now has nice ramps placed of the dip where the drain is, no way would I be getting in without ramps! smile
