My turn for software problems
Discussion
If anyone can get past the boredom of reading about software problems I need help.
Finally got round to connecting up to the ECU tonight. Set to Com 1, using lead as per MBE diagram and USB convertor.
No other known devices on Com1, but it is not connecting.
Immobiliser off.
Simple question then. I just need to make sure I am not a complete Numpty - Does the lead diagram show the connectors from the front (plug side) or back (Lead side)?
Dependant on the answer I will advise how mine is wired later!
Going out for one last try
Should add that I am using yellow cerb software on a speed six, MBE941.F ECU

Spent a while this morning on the laptop in between nut-scratching and chomping on fried bread. Best I can come up with is diasabling wireless, and I'll look at ports again another day, as it does not seem to display them as described in other threads. It is like me, a dusty old relic.
Confirmed Cable connections are OK.
So until I try again, which will be next week, you can all stand down. Just all try your best to get some sleep over the coming nights until the next rivetting instalment.

Have you the correct software for the speed six?
Mines an AJP and have both yellow and blue car types of software, currently using yellow with my AJP-V8 but it is clearly for V8's not speed six.
Just a thought!
Both versions of the software work on SP6 and AJP8. The newer version have more versions of the ECU programs in it, therefore it is better for newer or updated cars. I can see maps and everything else that I need on my SP6 Cerbera (factory rebuilt and updated late august 2005) with the newer software.
