Ok, I know the answers will obviously biased, but...
I am currently selling a Chimaera and keep looking at Cerberas with an understandable primaeval longing. However, I note that lower end Honda NSXs can be bought at the same sort of prices as some of low-mid price Cerbs. Anyone got experience of both and can offer an opinion?

These are my 2 favourite cars, both are stunning to look at, and you'll rarely see anothr one on the road. I bought the Cerbera because I couldn't quite afford an NSX. From what I have spent on the Cerb in 2 years of ownership, the NSX would have actually been the cheaper option
Both are stunning cars, but very different in character. Cerbera is rough, loud, unrefined, loads of character.
NSX sounds amazing when the Vtec kicks in, and is fast, smooth, and handles beautifully and fluidly, a lovely car to drive, and looks much better in the flesh than a foto. It will never go wrong, and a service will cost you about £300 !! If it was a Ferrari people would marvel at how they had managed to engineer a sophisticated supercar that your mother could jump in and happily drive it to Tesco to do the shopping. But because it's built by Honda, it's classed as a bit bland.
If rawness, charisma and constant 'niggle fixing' appeals to you, get the Cerb. If you enjoy just cleaning and polishing your car, and will use it every day, get the NSX.

Only have experience of one, but I recently saw the comments of someone who had driven both. Said the Cerbera had sole, where as the NSX was just a good drive. Doesn't tell you much about handling or reliability, but if sole is important to you...
Lemon or Dover?

For me the NSX is a superb piece of technology, tuned to perfection with the input of Ayrton Senna.
Can't deny it would be great to drive, but I suspect after a while it will do what is was designed to do and just be like any Honda.
Can't say that about a Cerbera! More of a Mansell car??

It's not that the NSX becomes boring...........Can't deny it would be great to drive, but I suspect after a while it will do what is was designed to do and just be like any Honda.

The Cerb is like knocking back a shot of rough Moonshine (if you've ever tasted the proper stuff), when you've finished you just go "Phwaaaaaaaaaw", shake your head like mad to get your cheeks flapping - like you do, and you have a huge massive grin on your face.
The NSX is a 20 yr old malt whisky. When you've finished it you You say "Yessssss, now that is what I call GOOD!!!" and you smile......

........enough of NSX's, this is a Cerb Forum

There's a rumour that the only involvement Senna had with the NSX was the video filmed that day that was shown to everyone. Aparently he'd never sat in the car before then! Can't deny it would be great to drive, but I suspect after a while it will do what is was designed to do and just be like any Honda.

I did look at an NSX before I bought my current Cerb along with many other cars and you have to spend a lot to get a good high power manual car.
Jens.
Perhaps we should start a thread about various "Fire Water" drinks around the world?
Irish Potcheen I have tried! Definatley Cerbera!!
In Portugal they gave us some home made stuff that you had to follow up with honey! If you cough - you buy the next round!
Again, worthy of Cerbera status!!
Belgium snaps stuff with lemons in it, can't remember its name???
But I remember it might be a bit more Chimera than Cerbera?

Drunk that for more years than I care to remember. Normally with an Absinthe chaser (Portugal was, for many years, the only country in the Europe you could legally buy the stuff. MADNESS
