Trackday Rims

I wanna buy another set of wheels and tyres for trackdays. Does anyone else do this on their Cerbera?

Do you change them before you set off? I've heard of a company that can store and take your tyres to the track for you, not sure who they are or the costs though.

I assume it should be OK to change my road 18" Spiders for smaller trackday rims then back again if I can't find any spare 18" Spiders.

I do this. I'm still on the original 16" rims so can't comment on whether the 18" will fit but I can take a set of 4 wheels in the car to the track then swap them there. (1 rear in the boot, both fronts on the rear seats and the other rear on the passenger seat).

I think the tyre people with bookatrack can offer this service.

I'm sure Dave H (B19toy?) gets his slicks in the car too.

I've just switched to 18" spiders, and so have my old 16" wheels, complete with nearly-new tyres all round if you (or anyone else) is interested. I'll get round to putting them on the classifieds sooner or later, but I thought I'd let anybody interested here know first. Wouldn't want any more than £150 for the set.

I am not over techy here, but I dont think the 4.5 calipers will fit the 16 inch rims??

Danny is correct

I get 4 slick shod 17 inch wheels in the Cerbera and have taken them plus either a passenger, or another spare slick in case of a puncture, to around 20 track days a year.

Furthest travelled in this manner was 1000 miles to Spa and back.

None of them need to go in the boot!!!
