Is lubrication recommended or not, and if so what with? Inner and outer surfaces?

I've done some googling and found arguments for all options, and one article that suggested lubricating every fitting except ARBs which need the extra stiction.

All Powerflex are supplied with Copaslip for installation so draw your own conclusions.

I must admit I'd viewed mine as fit and forget.

I lube everything on teh basis that it can't do it's job properly if there's lots of friction. Don't understand the comment about ARBs needing extra stiction, that makes no sense at all.

I lubed the PowerFlex ones when I fitted them to my car and recently I had to take one apart and what I discovered was that there was road dirt stuck to the little bit of excess lube around the bush ..... but none inside it.

Surely that can only be a good thing and an added bonus of using lube.
