Hello all,

I have the Leven wipers, they are very good.

However, the rubber has now perished.

Will I have to buy from Leven, or are they available in say Halfords?

You can get normal blades, but the passengers blade can curve more to fit the edge of the screen so it may be better to buy genuine.

I'll have a look at mine in a minute or two - you may just be able to by the replacemrnt rubber.

A long 2 minutes! - Yes you can just replace the rubbers, so you can get them at Halfords. Driver side is 16", not sure about the passenger side, I don't have one smile.

I got those ones of ebay, about £20 with the built in washers, work great.

I've got these ones too. Much better than standard, although on close inspection the washer reservoir is stuck on with super glue - still neater.

But... when you use the washer it sprays it directly in your eye-line, not a problem after the first time.

Happy with mine.

Yeah - the way the water sprays right in your eye line is a bit disconcerting the first time you use it smile Lot better than the standard ones though. Even the Leven ones are stuck on with Superglue, easyily snapped off too, but araldite gets them back on.

So what is this water spray system like on the ebay wipers then? Is it alot better than standard? I find good wipers essential, especially at the speeds these cars can get up to!

The standard set up has a plastic tube with little holes along it, the Leven ones have a plastic 'squirter' with 3 jet holes, that is attached (glued) to the wiper arm, it does deliver more water to the windscreen.
Another plus point for the Leven ones is that they 'sit' better on the screen, especially on the passenger side, that was the main reason i bought them. I'm not sure if the Ebay (cheaper) ones also have this 'feature'.
