After having the car de-catted for 8 months now, starting to feel like I need a little more. The question is, if I fit a sports exhaust, will it be too much. I like the high end noise from the cats at 2500rpm upwards but the car still seems a little "tinny" upon start up. Anyone got both done? Any advice appreciated. Its gotta happen soon.

How soon - before this weekend? I'm going from the other way around - I've got a sports zorst, but it's just not quite enough either. Taking the car in for a bit of work on Saturday anyway, so I'm considering the bypass pipes at the same time. For what it's worth, I definitely wouldn't say that the exhaust sounded "tinny".

Both together is too much. You think you want really really loud? I don't know anyone who stuck with this setup for too long! You'll probably have to try it to believe it for yourself though.

In my case I think Joolz decided his ears couldn't take it and welded some intermediate silencers in just before the sports exhausts. I then realised this was a good idea :-)

Maybe you got the wrong end of things. I was saying that with the de-cat pipes alone, upon start up the car sounded "Tinny". I was hoping that by fitting a sports zorst it would give me some low down grunt!

I run decatted with Sports exhausts and have no problem with the noise (Recorded at 110db.)

Sorry, what was that? SPEAK UP, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

Go create some weather...
