S6 running very hot

Used my 1999 speed 6 for the first time for 3 weeks yesterday and whenever in slow moving traffic the temperature rose to 100 and when at traffic lights rose to 105 very quickly. At legal motorway speeds temeprature fell back to 75/80 and at at 50 was arround 90. This is 5 to 10 degrees hotter than normal. Checked water and oil and both are ok, no leaks. Any ideas before I call a dealer?

Have you checked that your fans are working OK ??

Not sure about the S6, but very common on the AJP for the temp gauge to be overreading by 10 degress, easy. If this is the case (get your dealer to check) then all is fine.

No increase in noise from engine at 100 so fan is probably not cutting in

Obvious way to check is let it run, lift the bonnet and have a look!!!!
