How much fuel can you guys normally get in, my handbook says 67 litres, but I've never managed to get more than 60 in, even when the needle is bang on empty.

I realise the gauge isn't the most accurate, but it would be nice to know roughly how much is left when running low.

Cheers

When I first got the car, rather embarrassingly,
I didn't know I had a stuck fuel needle and ran
out!

Thankfully no damage was done, but I got 66.976 litres in!

On average, when I refuel now, 56 - 60

It takes about 240 miles worth, and costs about 45 pounds if you buy some jaffa cakes as well.

Found that the guage on mine is pretty accurate. Guage showed very close to empty the other week and managed to get 66.6 litres into it having clocked up 328 miles from full (about 22.4 mpg). All but about 40-50 miles was the journey to Goodwood and back, the rest was local journeys.

I always think the car seems to pink less on Jaffa cakes, also if I let the Jaffa cakes warm up then I might get 22 miles per Jaffa cake.

Can anyone confirm whether the 67 litre figure is correct?

I managed to get 61 litres in recently having driven 271 miles, which is the furthest I've ever driven on a single tank

That equates to 20.2 mpg

I’ve never managed any more than about 55l. But sensor / gauge could be calibrated wrongly as on a full tank the gauge reads 7/8 full and I could be bottling it when it’s reading near empty. Average ‘economy’ to date for speed six is 25-26mpg.

I can get from Lux to Folkestone easily on one tank - which is more than any currently available EVehicle laugh

Usual economy is around 22-24mpg, but on the gentle run to Classic Le Mans and back, plus on a run to/around Wales, I got 26mpg. I usually work on 65 litres, because thats what I put in after the body off rebuild when the tank came out, but I never run it down that low, never less than 1/4 full - ish
