after searching for long i finaly found the right one and bought it.
This morning I picked her up from Zeebrugge. As you can imagion the crew and the guys from the Zeebrugge docks were deeply impressed. And that even before starting the engine... A loud and impressive bang, when I started the engine made it even better.
Realy amazing, what a car.
Great drive home, only thing that suprised my was the strong fuel smell in the car and the airco, probably airco needs a refill.
First thing i did at home was washing it...
Many thanks to Rob Ingleby, he helped me a lot!!!. Realy great guy.
Now all the paper work will start to get her registered overhere...
But I have time... she is my third car

Well done at last for finding one, I really hope you get somewhere with the COC. Im sure it will take some time but will be well worth it.
get that fuel checked out, if you have a leak you may have a fire. Check the fuel line from the tank to the pump, the rubber does perish on the bend and tends to crack. If it leaks from here, its straight onto the exhausts...
If its a 4.5, check the metal bank that straps to each head that holds the injector rail down. If this is loose then the injector seat will be loose and you make have a leak her also.
If its just exhust fules rather that fuel, check the Zorst

I just thought that it would be kind of normal.. not to forget Rob was driving it yesterday to Hull and he told me that she ran great. So perhaps something happend during the trip by boat.
The COC does not exist, I just needed to have a Cerb and I will see if i can register her. (To be honest she looks great in parking as well...
)But because of the registration stuff I thought that it would be better to buy a 4.2 (or an SP6). And I bought a 4.2
First i will bring her to the TVR dealer here in Belgium to change the lights (front an back), the license plate lights, airco check (refill) and the fuel lines.
Thanks very much

That car looks great.
Get the fuel lines done regardless, 10 years or so the rubber is not going to be in a great condition, if it's done then you've got another 10 years of driving without the fear it will go up in smoke for a couple of ££'s worth of component.
My fuel lines failed twice this year - all new now - the smell is somthing else, you'll know.
Happy driving.

I will bring her a soon as possible to TVR Belgium to check what is wrong and to fix it. In the mean time i will use one of other cars.Get the fuel lines done regardless, 10 years or so the rubber is not going to be in a great condition, if it's done then you've got another 10 years of driving without the fear it will go up in smoke for a couple of ££'s worth of component.

Thanks a lot.
My car often smells of petrol just after a fillup. Austec had it apart last week after a test drive but couldnt find any problems (without taking the fuel tank completely out). Its definitely not coming from the engine end (thats the front, right?
)
Could be nothing more serious than a kinked breather pipe from the fuel filler making the boot area smell. BUT, best to get it checked out in case

Congrats on getting your Cerb
And I thought I took a long time finding the right one
Certainly looks like you've got yourself a beauty there. Get your niggles sorted out and get driving! I haven't stopped grinning since I bought mine; even driving in torrential rain on the M25 on Friday
Enjoy!

I have been looking for around 9 months... well, looking and finding out how to register (overhere everybody is asking for the not existing C.O.C.)
same for me, I can not stop grinning when i go to the garage... all my cars next to eachother but that white one....

Don't worry about the registration. I changed my lights, mounted a "temporary" licenseplatelight. The reverselight and foglight should be in the opposite position.
When the car is in a good condition (I had it serviced in belgium afterwards) you drive to the dutch RDW for your licenseplate. All you need is the V5 since the uk is a european comunitymember.
Don't need a COC. How could all these kitcars be registrated? They do not have COC's either.
Good luck!
