I am looking for an outdoor car cover for my Cerbie, does anyone know of anywhere that makes them, that are tailored for the vehicle, are well made, have good tying attachments so it doesn't blow off with any gusts of wind!! And, more importantly that doesn't scratch the paint!! She Lives in a converted barn that doesn't have a front door on it, so definately not an indoor cover! Thanks Chris

I can get generic waterproof/breathable covers for under £30 each plus postage (or collection from Redditch) if interested. They have a soft material inner with a rubbery plastic outer. They are big enough for a Cerb, have elasticated corners and a single cord you can use to tie under the vehicle. I am not convinced they would stay on in a storm if your car was outside, but with the partial cover of the barn, it'll be fine.

PM me if interested.

If you're likely to leave it outside in windy conditions, make sure you get a soft lined one. Even the most gentle of materials will rub in the wind, and it doesn't take much in the way of grit or a seam to scratch the paint.

I had to learn the hard way...

Me too. Mine's a Covercraft or something.

Is there any such thing as a softlined cover that fits so snugly that it achieves the desired effect?

If airborn grit particles get under any cover, soft or not, that then moves then scratching is going to result.

Not quite what you're looking for, but I have a fitted indoor cover on first and then a general outdoor cover over that. Seems to prevent scuffing of the paintwork too smile.

I use a 'Cover-Zone' Voyager Indoor/Outdoor cover - even though i keep it garaged (helps keep it pampered).
However when it has been out: it's breathable, has straps for those windy days - although the elastic is usually strong enough. The fitting is v.well tailored and it's lightweight so almost floats on the body which also probably helps reduce rubbing in the filth (if your car is ever dirty).
