The purple pipes are brown not purple, anyone know when I can get these from and how much?

I've done a search and only TVRPower came up.

I will consider induction etc at a later date, best get used to what there is first I think.

Cheers.

Also someone on here had blue backlighting on his black cerb, but I can't find it, anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

Whats the price difference from replacement pipes and say the Whirlwind? If not alot, be wiser to get the Whilrwind now (if you are going with them as opposed to the ACT ones)?

TVR power are the only place I know to with purple pipes.

As for the blue back lighting, mine has them but it is not a black cerb. See this thread (unfortunatly soe of the images are down):

I didn't do the LED fit, that was the previous owner, but he got the info from this thread:

I do (oddly) like the look of the crossing purple pipes, so if there's a significant price difference, i'd go for standard ones.

Will get used to the car before chopping and changing things.

If it's only aesthetic then tbh I wouldn't bother getting new purple pipes. For one thing they are rather pricey (did I hear £400 somewhere?). The new ones will turn brown fairly quickly. You will likely want the short intake upgrade at some stage in the future, so unless you want to end up with 16 brown pipes in your loft I would stick with what you have. Be in no doubt that a better spending opportunity will present itself smile

What causes them to brown? is it the heat alone?

scratchchin

It seems as though there's little between the new induction pipes and the old style ones. More pondering.

I think it might be oil/heat - take them off and chuck them in the washing machine on 40deg, bet they come up as new.

Make sure they're dry before you put them back on.

PS, let me know how it goes as I'm thinking of doing the same to mine biggrin

can we clear up the blue LED dash conversion as it something i really want to do.

perhaps repost some pictures, and get a set list of what bulbs are needed for what clock, bulb model, rough price and from where.

Paid £235 for the Purple pipes from Power last year.

I'll sell them if you're interested, they were on for 10 months & did 4500 miles with them before they were swapped for Whirlwind.

lets hope i have a similar bulb lay out as yours and not a mix and match of what ever the fitter could find of bayonet and wedge type bulbs
