Has anyone tried fitting a rear mounted transaxle to help the weight distribution?
I believe they (transaxles) are standard in C6 Z06 corvettes and C5's also? This would suggest they are not stupidly expensive?
Is it lack of room in the rear of the chassis? I realise the wheelbase of the cerb is short so the torque tube would have to be cut down.
Are they too heavy?

Just wondering....

Never really thought about it but probably the biggest reason is that it wouldn't fit. If you put a transaxle back there you'd have to completely redesign the rear half of the chassis.

Its far too small. You would even have a job fitting the torque tube between the rails.

The engine is really far back anyway, my weight distribution is 51% front bias. IF you could fit the rear mounted box (which would be a mission), you would probably rear bias it then.

So lack of space it is then. Thanks for the replies, I knew someone on here would know.
