Hi folks

I'm faced with a bit of a conundrum about my car.

Its been up for sale via a dealer but I dont think that has been too much interest (largely due to price) I've got another dealer who is interested in taking it on as a sale of return (and have offered an outright purchase for a low price) the purchase option is of interest but the price is just a bit too low so I'm thinking I may put it up for sale at a good price (£17k) the problem I've got is I've cancelled the insurance and the garage I had hired to keep it in so do I go through the pain of all of that so some tyre kickers can come along and wind we up or do I bite the bullet and take a hit?

whatdoya reckon?

If your desperate to sell, then be prepared to take a hit.I had this up for sale earlier in the year.....

The only reason i was going to sell, was because it looked like i was about to loose my garage.Situation is now resolved.Be prepared for the tyre kickers.I had loads of them.

I think at 17k, it should sell quickly.
edit to add - 18.5k is not unreasonable

If it is the dealer I am thinking of they should have made a good offer of around 16-16.5k....

That's not a bad offer to buy the car outright IMO

a bid around 16.5k from a dealer is good. Cars are not about to get more expensive anytime soon, and this applies to nearly all of them.
If you miss this bid you may well not be able to get another sensible one until the summer, and keeping the car will cost money.

All IMHO.
