Hi guys,
after lurking here for a while i took the plunge and bought a 98 4.2 Cerbera,
Loving it but do have a few questions?
1,does anyone know this car? i've tried searching but not found any info on it (previous regs: R346PEL R666TVR)
2,the odometer stopped working, tried the tapping mentioned on here but it's still stuck
3,do they all eat oil? i have done around 700 miles in mine and unless i'm checking it wrong its used no oil(i'm more worried its a funny dipstick)
heres a pic...

thanks
Paul.

Thought I'd seen that plate before as I've got P666
Bit weird..... A google of R666TVR brings up this thread from last month http://www.pistonheads.com/Gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Nice colour by the way.
Oil usage varies.
I had one car using a litre every 250 miles, the one I'm currently using, used less that half a litre between 12 months servicing (4500 miles on this occasion) In fact, I think I put half a litre too much in

Ha what a hoot, have just been out in the boys (dirty boy) new toy i want the engine!!!!! not worried about the plastic bits. 400hp in my MGC would be more fun I think.
The car is superb tho very easy to play with although the long throttle is a pain. he's away on holiday, I bet he's panicing over dad wearing his tyres down, still it will make a change to leave his car with less fuel in it when he comes home!
Would not dream of parting with the MGC but a tuscan with a 4.5 in would be a second best, any one want to part with a mechanicaly sound but battered on for peanuts. Once its fell apart i can use the engine.
Nice car guys and gals, mine still makes more noise????

Allan...i'm in edinburgh,roseburn area.
Russell...thats the guy i bought it from but from the impression i got he had just bought it himself,he needed something a bit more normal to drive for his knee so i gave him my E46 M3 and some cash.

Hi.
Nice looking car.
Oil consumption varies. Mine has used a litre in 3000 miles (just topped it up). However, you need to be careful how you dip it.
Level ground, check first thing in the morning or after the car has stood for a few days, wipe dipstick and re-dip and check. This may be obvious to some on here but it is the only way to get a true reading.
