Just a quick one: Will I be able to replace the gaiters without having to have the steering alignment done afterwards? Can I make marks on the track rod end threads and put them back together in the same place?

Thanks

sorry about the previous post but I thought a quick question warranted a quick answer.

With some gaitors you get a plastic cone, which allows you to pull the gaitor over the t/rod end,and thus removes the need to undo the t/rod,saving you having to alter the trackingsmile

Thanks chaps! Noticed the tyres are wearing slightly more on the outer edge so I think I'll get all the tracking and geometry set up when I've finished.

So pleased there is a new indie close to me in Aylesford now!!

I would challenge the position that you cannot do this without set-up.

For one thing, I find it is a rare day that the car is set up, you drive off and everything is 100% spot on. Always needs some settling in and lots of trial and error.

With care and accuracy, it should be no bother, but using a wooden rule and a stick of chalk is probably not the way to gohehe

I should counter my own argument though, in that I have not done a TVR, but it looks no more challenging than any other car I have done, if anything easier.
