Had to send an email to the £4k Cerb owner in the other thread and in classifieds, this is how it went......Enjoy

Question:

Hi, I am interested in the Cerb you ahve for sale, Is this a genuine sale and is the car genuine? At £4000 ill take it, when can i come and view the car?

Cheers
Alan

Response:

Hello mate,

Thank you for being interested in purchasing my vehicle. The car is in perfect working condition, the mileage is low and accurate ,there are no scratches and the car was never involved in an accident. Always kept in a warm garage, also it has no outstanding finance as I purchased it outright.Technical inspection and emissions testing is passed and stamped as well. It has title of ownership, cleared of any obligations or fees and comes with all the documents you need to register it.I have worked in England for the last 2 years and I've purchased the car there. My company wanted me back home,so currently I'm in Italy. I've bring the car home with me. I decided that is better to sell it because I don`t use it anymore (the wheel is on right side and is very difficult for me to drive it here) and it`s a pitty to keep such a car and not to use it.I realize that is a cheap price for such a car but my special situation makes me do things that I wouldn't do in normal circumstances. The car has MOT, Road tax until next year. Also has full service history.
The price I am looking for my car is £4000 including the shipping costs, insurance and handling (delivery to EUROPE). You will not have to pay additional taxes for this.
If you are still interested, please come back and I'll response all the questions may you have and I'll give you all the details what you need.
Cheers

It seems the PH moderators will slap our wrists and delete a thread if we so much as dare to give a gentle plug to one of our own adverts, but an obvious scam advert seems to be fine with them !!

they must have. i knew it would be. see my other post on the 4k cerb thread.

it amazes me how they can advertise the cars on the web sites.

you need to provide, chasis numbers and the reg etc. they should make it law that you have to put the mot cert number in to ensure it is your car. obviously if the car has no mot then you should go on the last mot cert.

these scammers really grip my stool. i was looking at x5's the other day on ph's and theres a 54 plate diesel for 4.5k the sellers name was mark something no phone number. i then looked at m3's and he was selling an e46 m3 way under price, same name and no phone number. its got to stop.

I wonder how many victims they actually get?

I bet you're really gutted that you just bought a cerb. You could have saved yourself thousands there.
