How to mess up a brake disc with a wishbone - by edhorne

So
Suspension all shotblasted and painted and all back together. New balljoints etc. Quick blast up to the local MOT place only to find a big score on the inside of the offside front disc
A combination of the new balljoint protruding from the wishbone and the negative camber of the upright, post rebuild, had conspired to allow the disc to contact the edge of the balljoint. Thankfully only on full lock to the right.

Its rather annoying, as after the MOT it was going straight to Neil Garner for a full suspension geometry set up.
To avoid any further damage to the disc, I ground the balljoint back witgrinder and set a crazy positive camber and off we went to Neil Garner's (only a few miles away thankfully).

Looks like I took rather to much off with the grinder as I now have a crack in the wishbone. Arse
You live and learn (to check that discs have clearance after rebuilding suspension!)
