Yep, I imported a Bosch M'Sport (044) one for a fraction of the UK price from Australia!
So, if you have time look at sourcing one abroad.
But, a useful tip, if you do go this route the chaps at Bosch decided to swap the terminals around from those on 'our' cars. There are one large and one small, they are swapped on the 044 pump! Joolz @ TCS discovered this within minutes of me dropping my car off with him - D'oh!

the '044' should contain any power increases this side of 1.5bar of boost the AJP will give you. The standard bosch '957' flows about 128l/h and the '044' flows 198l/h (both at 5 bar) which is about enough for 138% of the injectors capability should they ever need to opened by more than 80%.
Seriously though joshing asides, I did look at the 044 myself but as you say the terminals are different, M5/6 as opposed to M4/5, the inlet pipe diameter is larger (18mm Vs 12mm) and it draws 40% more electrical current, I wouldn't trust standard TVR wiring. Whereas the universal '909' flows 148l/h has all the 'standard' TVR pipe and electrical connections etc, it doesn't drop off with 450hp coming out of it, it'll do for me
Always one for overkill.
If something's broke, replace with a better quality part, always been my philosophy, where possible.
On a plus side, the '044' seems to work fine on my car, I had fueling issues prior to the winter 'fettle', and, as I've said the '044' was no more expensive than the standard replacement. No fueling problems now, and thanks to APM and TCS the car seems to hang together pretty well around a track too.
Get my gearing and a bit of driver training sorted and next years Speed Champ' will be even more fun.

Here's who I bought mine from, if it's of any use:
eBay auction by Borg Performance for '044 fuel pump
Don't forget to buy the banjo and inlet pipe, the guy will do a package deal, or at least he did with me.
