Noticed this in the advert section and was wondering who would want to take a chance on it as it "starts and drives" (i,e someone has had it running and drove it) any chance of engine damage since?

Seems looney expensive for a fked Speed6. You could get a tidy one for not far off that money.

That needs a lot of work.

I bet they only paid £3K - £4K for it if that.

Their stuff does look expensive.

douglas valley prices are always ludicrous in my experience, with their prices for used parts often coming out more than others are charging for new ones.

Once fixed, providing it's got history, I reckon it's worth going on for £15K. The fact that it's on the register is going to bring that down, to between £7.5 & £10K.

Not a good buy IMO

I looked over some of their cars the other week and can't understand how it can work out cheaper to buy a "write off" and then have it repaired. I would have thought if you saved that much money they'd re-do the cars themselves and sell them on at retail, less and CAT reduction.

Maybe you only make/save the money if you do the repairs yourself

To reinforce the not good buy theory

There's an 02 S6 on AT at £12K, presumably not on the register.

Obviously depends where you buy it from.... on here £8.5K but on that famous auction site its £7.5K, save a cool grand just by typing a different address in your browser confused

Surely this has to be best? I reckon a smidge over £7k to get 4.2 litres of AJP madness.

This car will stand £6K+ to repair not worth th work and value with a cat-C in the end thet have a 98 Cerb 4.5 @£8750 stolen recovered it will be Cat rated however a better punt if you want a car from a braker.

Nope too much work to get it to a state ready to put the engine in... smile

The one with a broken speed6 is a much better bet...
