your cerb unless you really have to.

sold mine 3 weeks ago due to cash flow probs,my thinking was if i cant maintain it properly i cant have one.

as the new owner drove off i knew then i had made a big mistake, fast forward 3 weeks packed up smoking and have gone and bought a viper blue chimaerayikes what have i done?.

had the car a week now and although it is a very nice car, drives well etc its not a cerb.

when i had my cerb and i knew i was going out in it the excitement expectation was there, waiting for the garage door to raise thinking hurry up i want to press the black button

every drive being a event, sitting at traffic lights looking across and receiving a knowing nod

what a great feeling that you know that they know.

all i know is i need another cerb, big time. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrindrink

In all honesty I think I may well sell when it's sorted so there could be a chance to buy it back (same money)

I think I feel the same way about the cerb as you did about the chim - I really just have no time for it, it was a mistake.

Yours for £8,500 as it stands with suspected oil pump issue (which may or may not be covered by APM bottom end waranty to March 09).

  • edit* will sell for £8.5K to anyone

You can't have mine!

I went through all of this at the end of last year. Advertised it, had some interest and then decided I would keep it and sod the expense.

In the end I WAS made redundant, and my financial life is no bed of roses, but whenever I get a little stressed about it - I go for drive...drivingcloud9biggrin

Don't sell your Cerb
Don't sell your Cerb
Don't sell your Cerb
repeat daily

I did 15 months ago & still misiing her! and these threads don't help either!.........

Would have bought another by now but this bl@@dy credit crunch isn't helping in the planning process

If you do sell you will only find yourself looking at the classfieds on a daily basis whistle

Glad you kept the car Morebeanz, tis a good one.

well, I'm not planning on selling mine, but if someone offered me the right price for it, it would go, I'm sure. I like it, but not that much!

Threads like these put a smile on an owner's face - well, mine anyway. They sort of make you realise that you don't appreciate what you've got until it's gone.

Having said that, circumstances change and I think everything's got a price, so can understand why people are tempted to sell from time to time.

Morebeanz I wondered what happened to yours. It was one of the ones that really caught my eye when I was looking to buy (seem to remember seeing a picture of it blasting through the City). Must have been about a year ago at least.

Anyway, thought it looks the business and still do...

Im having the same delemma, should I shouldn't I, been quite tempted by a Tuscan s even arranged to go see it at the weekend but opening the garage door this morning and seeing fluffy - jumping in pressing the button and bursting into life (the car not me) just brings it home there really is nothing like a cerb. Was thinking the Tuscan looks more upto date and trying to convince myself thats what I shoud do but I really dont think I can take the plunge, whats your oppinions guys as if I need to ask am I making a big mistake.

Cheers Ian

I sold my Cerb about a year ago and really do miss it :-(

But ive just got married and the other half wouldnd drive it, i ran out of cash to keep it running and pay for a wedding plus couldnt really run 2 cars (only 1 parking space etc etc).

I suppose it really depends on the circumstances. I agree that most people that sell just to buy something newer will prob miss it. I think nothing else (short of at least 50k) comes close!
