Flippin HecK.....
This is what I really dreaded before I got into TVR ownwership and to be honest when I was looking I was warned about the running costs of the Cerb and AJP V8.
I opted for a Tuscan instead and to my delight It cost a tenth of what you spent in a year to keep on the road.
Really feel for you that is horiffic...

And i thought that mine was bad. At least mine is four figures, just
Should have bought a speed six
Not mine obviously, having ditched circa £10k into it with no upgrades whatsoever. Next step for me is new tyres, then thrash the nuts off it to see if anything falls off or blows up.
Be interesting to see what your figures would look like if you took out all the upgrades and nice to haves.

Two starter motors in 6 weeks?

Not fair really you, should split maintenace and repairs out seperately.
Also there's a big difference in spending money for the sake of it and fixing essential faulty items.
I don't see the point in selling something after spending that kinda money on a car. You could have saved yourself the hassle and paid to fix mine....
There are also a few hefty bills that could be fixed with a pair of axle stands and a set of spanners. Depends what you value more, your cash or your fingernails.

yes, its true that the total certainly isnt all essentials! I love to toy with the idea of doing some medium level maintenance myself, but realistically I can imagine it would take me so long to get any job done that it'd be constantly off the road (seems like its always in a garage already!)Also there's a big difference in spending money for the sake of it and fixing essential faulty items.

its actually well over £16k, when I remember lote more bits and pieces (clutch refurb by ap racing {old one which offord replaced, theyve made it as new, handy spare to have I guess), trackday exhaust silencers, clear front indicators and rear clusters, brushed stainless dashboard/heater controls, brushed stainless buttons (cosmetics I know)
