My rear tyres are about done so i thought i would have one last go on them at the RWYB today, i tried monster burnout's to try and get them really sticky but the best 60 foot time i managed was 2.04 secs. But that terminal is pretty bloomin smokey if i do say so myself smile i have a much wilder cam, big injectors and an aftermarket manifold to go in soon, plus some sticky tyres...130+ terminal? scratchchin

Smaller wheels, speak to Lee@La about some tyres and watch the 60's fall (and possibly the driveshafts!

I have 16 and 17" wheels kicking around the garage, but those drag radials are like £200 each? Got my eye on some racing Cerbera driveshafts as we speak!!!

Superb Brum, shall I put you down for traction control too?? smile

I've got one Tuscan race driveshaft going spare as I bought the uprated driveshafts from Clever(but expensive)Trevor.

Pirelli pzero, 265/35-18. I have at least done low 1.9's with less power, the quick stuff is at 1.5's, but they are using drag specific stuff, i was 2nd in class today, 1st was an hoooge engined Oldsmobile totally stripped out, using immense slicks launch control and a autoshift etc, no bull it WHEELIED off the line doing 10.04/132mph, but that shows what a mega launch is worth. But how that was a street car baffles me?

People say this lot do some damage. http://www.nittotire.com/#index%2Etire%2Ent555r%2E...
A pair for the 16s plus there road legal so no track side tyre changes required.

Billy.

The terminal proves the poke doesn't it? cracking stuff. On 0.2 secs quicker than cyclone in his cerb, and hereckoned his car was an 11.7 car with the right tyres and a bit of lady luck so if you get yourself some real stickies you'll have some amazingly low times with your car i'm sure smile Not bad for a corvette smile

My car's set up was perfect for the 400bhp+ it had at the time and 11.7 would have been the very best it could have possibly done, therefore utilising every last horsie.

Brummie's car is just so much quicker than mine that it hurts biggrin (took me out for a lap at Vmax when it had only 550+bhp). It is definitely good for low 11's with a good launch, grippy tyres and right suspension set-up. It may struggle to do lower as it will always struggle to get the power down in first and second at which point the time is lost. The terminal says it all really and with the right set-up would be low 10's.

Jules.
