quite simple really,i need more power.

i love my cerb and spent a lot of money improving it, and yes i do love the s6 engine, its been superb whilst i've had it.

do i cut my losses and sell, then buy a 4.5

do i improve the s6 (forced induction)

or do i remove the engine and flog it and fit something different

cheers dan

What have you done to it?

Racing Green have a new cam design for the S6 and can give you more power if you want.

But you just know you need that AJP V8 don't you! smile

engine wise its standard
been following the racing green head thread and if i had one of the other s6 powered cars i would consider that option, but not in a cerb.
ls and 6 speed box sounds nice though

I gather Austec do a rather tasty supercharger conversion. Depending on whether they reckon your standard engine internals would cope with it, I would love to do a supercharged six.

I've always thought the noise the six makes is unbeatable! paperbag

agreed i'd take the noise of the s6 at full chat over any ajp8. mines running de-cats and non linked sports pipes, sounds georgeous

If you're serious about keeping the car it might be worth looking at the new bucket cylinder head from Racing Green.

Just out of interest, why not?

as good as the conversion sounds i don't think it'll make the numbers i want,
unless you super charge it and then the costs start escalating.

Oh right, i thought you had found a flaw in the development. they're looking at 400BHP easily you know.......then supercharging i think there was talk of 500BHP

But its a speed six, they have different mountings to the V8's dont they, im sure the chassis is slightly different to accomodate the V8 lump.

Shouldnt be a problem at all... you'll need different mountings for the LS anyway.

Yes i know but i thought it would be easier to accomodate a straight 6 into an engine bay designed for a straight 6 rather than trying to shoehorn a V8 into the same space. Im probably wrong, just made logical sense to me thats all.

I think that would be amazing, and a fun way of taking the fight right back to us V8 brigade!

When i get bored of mine (when lol), i was thinking about a shot of nos! nuts If the LS would fit in a speed six chassis then that would be nice also. smile Hey Brummmie have you thought about some nos on yours? If you ever did you'd probably be able to time travel back to now and let yourself know how it all went.

only guessing, as i haven't priced any thing up yet,but it would seem to me that the cost of building a super charged 6 would far out weigh the cost of slapping a half decent ls lump in.
and at least the ls would be virtualy indestructable whereas it would always be on the back of your mind that your rather expensive super 6 would end up dropping its guts all over the road.
as for the chassis 6 and the 8 look the same to me (minor differences accepted)

When i popped in to TVR Power for some bits and bobs he was trying to poke me into a NOS kit, but i dont like the concept. You either have it or you dont. Turbo might be more like it!
