I wonder if there is a data base of all the cars of a certain model that have been scrapped. This information must be available somewhere, after all what's the point in sending this info to DVLA if they do nothing with it?

Not really.When you consider how many have been written off due to accidents fire etc over the years.Then probably 400 is nearer the reality.

So if we're saying that there was somewehere between 1400 and 2000 cerberas built, 400 remaining results in an attrition rate of between 80 and 130 a year.
