I have side lights and main beam but no headlights that work.
I can hear relays clicking as I turn the lights on and off but still no lights.

Is there any other relays attached to the lighting circuit other than the relays inside the Light switching unit?
I have two of these units so pretty sure the unit is no the cause.

Also I have visually checked all the fuses attached to the main fuse panel and the appear ok but am not sure which ones relate to the lighting circuit or if there are any other fuses anywhere?

Anybody got any ideas? smile

On top of the fuel tank in the boot behind the carpet are a load of control units...one of those is the headlamp unit...if you disconnect it you will probably find 2 of the pins in the connector have burnt...

Thanks for the reply, you are talking about the Light switching unit, I have already swapped this with another that I know 'was' working. (I have had issues with this unit in the past hence my spare!!)
So was wondering if there were any other relays or fuses linked with the lighting system.

IIRC I had another unit tucked down the right hand side of the fuel tank, by the fuse panel. I think it was labelled - Dim/Dip control unit.

Mine had burnt connections on this box as well as the main switch unit.

Let there be Light!!

I had forgotten about that dastardly dim dip switching unit!!

Which for some reason on mine is marked up as the ignition control unit (or something!!) But is in the same place as Ged's Ignition control unit but on his it is a different unit to mine (looking inside the casing) I.e modules reversed but the wiring loom unchanged.
Did that make sence? It didn't to us either when we were looking at the units a few months back!!!!
