Ever had one of those days when you wished you never bothered getting out of bed and the biggest sentence is 'if only'. Well I had a 'if only' day today.

Woke-up feeling a tad under the weather but not to bad and since I had to find a car for work nothing was going to keep me in. Out came the cerb after its front wing and nose job done beautifully by those guys at Surface and Design. So off I went to a local dealer to look at a 207 in my beautiful beast.

Job done and the dealer tells me to leave the car while I pop over to Currys for a few things for the tv. No it's OK says I, it's to cold to walk, so I drive out of the dealer and I'm sat at a T-Junction with a car in-front ........... bless the lady driver who's in front who now thinks it's ok to put her car in reverse and and smack my bonnet...nice crack now!!!

God bless her as she does admit it and one hour later I have a phone call from her insurance to say not to worry all will be sorted as she has told them it was her fault.

You can put 'If Only' all over the above but hi ho could be worse. Oh it is, my bloody freezer has just packed up and we have a puddle on the floor now, bugger.

Takes a deep breath and wonders what will be number 3 of the day.

She was shocked when she saw what she had hit and my point that she was lucky she hit a car rather than something else sort of brought it home how bad it could have been. Looking at her kids in the car might have stopped something a lot worse happening in the future.

Poor Gerbil will be having his spray gun out again.

Typical! Still, at least you don't have to pay for repairs. It could have been some crap falling off a lorry on the motorway or something, and then you'd be even more peeved smile

boy o boy, that is some unlucky occurence.

just freshly painted and a women cracks it for you!!!! I would have been boiling over.

you are just lucky that the weather is not cerb weather, otherwise you would have been deprived of the car whilst it was at the body shop being painted AGAIN.

Im gald it wasnt a big whack with more damage.

I think Surface and Design will be wondering what the hell is going on when it drives up to Blackpool, the last time it was on a low loader. Bought my run-around for work today so the Cerb can now be sorted for winter and be ready for spring.

C3BER can now be found on the Peugeot 207 forum. :-)

Sorry to hear this. You're OK and the car can be fixed so that's all good, but amazingly frustrating.

Hope she's back soon smile

That is a bad day!!

Well if the freezer's broke, at least you can sit & eat take away curry whilst the cars having another lick of paint & not feel bad about it!!

Mental note..... if it looks like a woman in the car in front, leave twenty yard gap whilst stationary!! wink
