control box? help

Ok sorry i am somewhat of a moron, but having trouble with (what i think is called) the ignition control box on my '98 4.2. It is a black box located in the left hand top corner of the boot.

Went to start it the other day, unlocked fine pressed black button and nothing, tried locking and unlocking then button again but still nothing left it at the garage and they had a look at it they tried it with a different box and seemed to work fine but said you cant buy the boxes new anymore so does anyone know where i can get mine fixed or should i get a second hand one?

Im pretty sure there all the same on Cerbera's, if your unsure check first with the garage that has the car.

Ah the lovly Tracy!

I think you can get the box repaired, so if you do buy the e-bay one send the old one back to get it fixed.

There is a contact number in the Sprint Magazine for a company that has been set up by the old employees.
