Hello everyone

Just had my alternator back from the auto-electricians and they reckon it would cost around £90 to have a "first-aid" repair done on it. It needs a new rectifier/diodes which are internal rather than a replacable cartridge.

I know I can buy a new alternator on eBay for £120 but I was hoping to shop around before taking the plunge.

The only snag is that my one doesn't have any markings or part numbers on it save to say that it is a Magneti Marelli A127-100 Amp.

I have discovered that it is probably the same as a Range Rover but there are several different variations of the A127 relating to the mounting lugs and pulleys.

If anyone has one off the car with a part number on it I'd really appreciate the info. I will post my findings onto the equivalent part nos. thread of course.

Cheers

Ed
