So, where can I buy a new back box for a 4.2?

The sticky says Magnex, but they have apparently gone bust frown

I'm after a replacement standard rear silencer box. I don't like the "sports" system that's on there at the moment, and while I would like a SP exhaust system, I simply can't afford one at the moment (too many other things to spend my cash on!)

Oh ok, i just assumed everybody had a sports exhaust onsilly

Try Racing Green or ACT, pretty sure they do the standard ones for a couple of hundred bucks.

Magnex went into Administration in July, this company bought up the entire stock, so try them, you may be lucky.

Erm... shout LOUD!!! nuts

Had my back boxes 'removed' for the week end a while back (ie no back half exhaust at all..) and was so laughably loud I couldn't concentrate for laughing. Pops and bangs were something else though driving

Recommend everyone do it now and again.

I think he means quiet biggrin 3db quieter than the other supposed quiet system yet still sounds very nice and fruity. Lighter, smaller and easier to fit/align.

I had a sleaved back box on for a while this year. The noise was just mental; sounded like a race car. Interestingly, it was actually quieter above 4500 RPM.

It did made me giggle, but in the end I went back to a standard back box as it was just too loud.

Have to say it does sound like what I think a TVR should sound now!
Very well made!
Even the chaps at Austec have commented on the quality!
