I have recently had the heater control box(the one in the passenger foot well) replaced.Ever since i cant get any cold to come out the vents. The fans are working but theres no breeze.Any ideas? i think one of the the pipes has disconnected.I cant de mist the windscreen either. Are the air ducts easy to get to?

The cold air ducts and fan are on the right of the drivers footwell behind the front right wheel and in front of the door. The duct from the fan is just above where your right knee is when driving.

The duct will lead to a box behind the stereo that also has the hot feeding in to it from the left hand side. Both inlets to this box have flaps to stop air blowing back out to the other fan.

I can't imagine why the cold air would stop as replacing the heater control unit they shouldn't have needed to go near the cold air side.

The fans are a comlete pig to get to especially the hot.

What might have happened is that the flap to stop hot air blowing back out of the box behind the stereo back to the cold fan has stuck shut.

Just had a look this `aft. There are two solonoids, one in the passenger footwell, and one in the drivers footwell.they are attached to the hot and cold ducts.(you can hear them when you switch from hot-cold,cold-hot)both cant of failed, could it be the heater control box?
