Bought my cerb a few weeks back and am loving it so far.

Had it booked in at TVR HHC over the last week for a new starter motor and a couple of other things...one of which proved to be a lack of catalysts in the exhausts. To be honest I suspected this due to the noise it produces but would have preferred to at least have been handed a set when I bought it!

So, MOT is next June leaving me time to source a set - any ideas where and typically how much...?

Thanks in advance

Don't buy a pair, just by one for the MOT time and make sure they test it from the exhaust with the cat - works with sports pipe!

Hi Pete
I recently got a nice new pair as part of the deal with the dealer whom I bought the car from.

I had had a chat to Tim of ACT a few months earlier in case they renaged, and he has a few options apparentlly.

Might be worth a call!

Also worth talking to a TVR specialist Indie, as they may have some Cats just to get it through the MOT for you.
They will charge an on-off fee, but might be cheaper in the long run.

Pete

I am from Durham and have a set you can borrow for the MOT if you want.

Alternativley I know a MOT friendly garage in the area wink

If you are after a complet new set try http://www.exhaustafix.co.uk in Darlington. They can make up almost anything including cats.

I was reading a post the other day about having some communual ones for forum users, i may consider 'lending' you mine just for your mot for p&p both ways and a minimal fee? At the end of the day im only going to leave them in the shed until next year...

Thanks Fex2005

May well take you up on the offer of borrowing the cats....also, the friendly garage would be useful to know....email me it?

In the meantime i think i will see how much the breakers charge for a set...if they are reasonable i may but a set...?

I might well have a pair for sale, you can certainly borrow them no problem.
