With all the various comments about TVRs and winter driving, has/does anyone run winter tyres? If so, what profiles have you managed to find and from which manufacturer?

I've had a quick search around the web, and an appropriate combination of front and rears doesn't seem to exist!

I am thinking of putting winter rubber on the spare 16" saturns I have hanging around. May be useful for the heavy snow, lol.

Pirelli pzeros make a very good alround choice. OE equip on most Supercars these days and manufacturers test most of them. Eg Porkers, Lambo's, Astons, Ferrari, etc. I can speak from experience.

By "all round" do you mean "good all year round", or just "generally good winter specific tyres"?

A good all round road tyre, whatever time of year.

In all honesty I recon that unless you shod the thing with proper town and country tyres which would look pathetic (and limit speed) if they even existed for a Cerb (the height of the sidewall would be too tall and rub) you are as well to keep it on anything that you are accustomed to, except SO3's.
If yer driving in snow and ice or just on very wet or slippery roads the drivers talent and or knowledge of the car's habits is/are more of an issue than yer rubber. The only realistic way to learn the cars break-away habits is to actually loose control for the first time, that said it's the 'lucky' ones who either get away scratch/stain free or better still regain the slide/spin.
>360 ponies + RWD + 1100kg + winter roads = evil
What is hardest to account for is not just the above but the way the power delivers, especially when traction is lost....that's the REAL scary bit yikes
