Hi need a bit of advice on the long term effects of leaving the battery disconnected on the Cerb (ie:will it knacker the imobiliser/alarm) and the other problem im having is with the DVLA. Sent of my log book to try and alter the emmissions. DVLA say that with my car being 2003 it has to have an emmissions value (mine is 385) and they have never heard of an excemption for a low volume manufacturer. I did send a copy of the ministry of transport certificate of low volume manufacture which had my vin number on it. So has anybody got a copy of a letter that was successful at changing their emmissions value with DVLA.I would be grateful if anybody could email me a copy of a successful letter. Many thanks Alastair

I would also like to see some documentation on this. When I spoke to them they denied any such scheme existed or that there were any exceptions for low volume manufacturers under any circumstances. Is this just a rumour or is there some basis in law/fact for it?

Might not be much help....
There is a small volume manufacturer exemption for earlier cars,up until Aug '95(i think) TVR's can be tested under pre-cat style emissions test for MOT.Is this where the confusion comes from, perhaps?
