hi all, my little one is growing now and im in the process of buying a proper child seat, mainly for her focus. my question is mainly, i have a matching leather tvr child seat which came with the car but i have no idea how to fit it or where it goes, there is 3 parts with it a base a back piece and another piece with 2 grooves in which im guessing is for the legs. also what age are these seats meant for.
also which child seats fit into a cerb. he is 10 months now.
thanks.

I have two recaro starts, no photos, they're the only seats that will fit in the back, and I've tried lots.

Not true - the seat TVR sold in the past will also fit. wink

You need a floor-mounted bar. It's a U shaped thingy (when fitted, it's upside down). When you have this, you just put the flat base (the solid bit) on the seat, with the curved bit over the bar. Then you put the base (seat squab) on top of that. The back rests against the car's own seat back. Then finally, if your littlie is less than 2 years old (or thereabouts), you put the cushion with the cutout on his/her lap, with the cutout facing forwards, and slot the seatbelt through that to hold it in place. This has the added advantage of being a really cool place to play with toy cars. hehe

Sorry, I don't have any pics of ours, but that's more or less how it works. By all means mail me if you want any more details.

BTW, OP - whereabouts in North Wales are you?

Well, I'll be in the Wrexham area on Monday if you're passing at all (won't have time to get to Llandudno, sorry). I can show you how it all fits together if that would help.

Re the original leather clad chair - there should also be a metal bar that helps support the seat?

That's right, as SGirl says it mounts through the floor and is a very substantial bar.

However, my bar is till in the car and I have lent the original seat out to friends who say it works fine without the bar.
