Hello all,

Just started the cerb up for the first time in a few weeks. All is fine apart from I can't get in or out of the drivers door. Neither inside or outside button will operate it. The passenger door works fine so I can get into it. It did do this whilst out on a run a while back but sorted itself out when I stopped, locked and unlocked it.

Cheers,

Ed

Is the window dropping? Mine was doing this after a couple weeks of inactivity a few weeks ago.

I fixed mine by unplugging the door/window control box and re-plugging it, thereby resetting it.

If that doesn't work you might have a bad connection in the multi-pin plug inside the door, so that means removing the door card (having opened the door with the red lever), finding the multi-pin plug and cleaning it with Servisol or similar contact cleaner.

If both the inside and outside buttons aren't working then the chances are its the connection inside the door. Take off the door card and disconnect the multi-pin connectors. Thouroughly clean them, check for breakages, and repair/reconnect.

Hi,

cheers for the help. I got around to having a look at the problem today. When I tried to open the boot I found that I couldn't get that to operate either. I opened the boot using the manual method, once in I unplugged the door/boot control box opened it up and all looked okay. Once plugged back in everything started to operate again. Fingers crossed it was just due to the battery running completely flat and needed resetting.

Thanks aagin,

Ed
