black vs stone chips
Discussion
In my quest for a black S6 Cerbera I have just heard that the black Cerbera's seem to be more prone to stone chips showing than any other color. So much in fact that when driven regularly they need a "nose job" every year.... Is this true and more importantly: can this be cured (black primer?)

My source mentioned that black was particulary prone to visible damage because of lighter primer used..... I am not sure why one would use a lighter primer for black than for dark blue etc, which is actually the reason why I started the thread.....
you will find most primers are light grey or white on any car. i have never used or seen a black or really dark primer as in dark primers you would not see any imperfections or pinholes that need attention Edited by potato muncher on Thursday 8th January 19:05

I once 'did' a Triumph motorcycle using black as a primer and then finished in metalflake blue. Omigod it was beautiful !!
