No, but I wish it would happen. I've got very close to trying to organise something myself, except that I think Cerb owners are a bit more "independent" than most...

why not contact kevin63 and see if you can have a large section of grass in front of chatsworth house for your meet? The event attracts hundreds of TVRs so there'll be plenty of cerbs there anyway .. it's only a short hop to suggest it as a national cerbera meet for the year? It's centrally located in the country too.

  • have to add, this is just a suggestion .. please contact kevin to se whether he (or chatsworth) would be in favour of such a thing taking place.

It's a good idea Joolz. I think there was a CREAM event and Fighting Torque 1 was in effect a Cerb meeting.

It would be good to do, or to piggy back on something else like we did with SCH last year.

You planning on the Cerbera working then Dave. laugh

There will be a Cerbera area at Chatsworth Dave and if you or anyone else want to help out with arranging them all in a nice order then please feel free, I have some helpers but if anyone wants to just sort the Cerbera's then that would be great, I can then organise my helpers else where, you know where I am Dave.

I too would love a Cerb only meet,CREAM 2005 was brilliant and it would be fantastic to do something like that again,i`m aware that such an event takes a great deal of organization but im sure if a few like minded Cerb owners put their heads together something could be sorted out.I know Cerb owners are the elite in the TVR World!(JOKE!!!)but-Hey-we dont have to be so`independent` of each other!

I knew you wanted to volunteer to do this Dave wink The Cerb area at Chatsworth will be good but a proper Cerb event in the summer as well would be great!

The S Club event worked well last June as although I'm sure there was plenty to organize, making it part of a bigger show must have made things easier (and more interesting).

I'm happy to help but unable to commit to doing too much. Certainly, SCH08 was more straightforward due to piggy backing and I think the formula is sound.

Part of me thinks it would be good to join with another TVR model 'do' but I know some can frown on that. The Cerbie area at Chatsworth will be great, but it would still be good to have our own event (other models welcome too of course).

Fully agree Dave/Tony, the Cream event was spot on, the only problem with it was that it only happened once, it would be great to have another and centrally too, unfortunately I don't have any where near the time or know how to organise such am event.

I know at least one person who has talked about arranging such a thing and it has been mentioned in previous years by others also. The problem that often arises is should it be an "active" event based around a trackday / high speed run etc (which heightens the organisation and cost), or a more simple mass gathering and tyre kick. It is a lot of work though and ultimately you need a "chief" who can take those tough calls that might end up pissing off a proportion of owners, be that deciding on a date that some can't do or making that call on the format the event will take - try to share that roll and you just end up with disagreements within the organisers - that's not to say people can't share in the workload of course, just that you need a clearly defined head honcho who is willing to put their head on the block.

Just a thought - Last summer's (excellent) Kimbolton show attracted a very good turn out of Cerbera owners. Maybe we could add to it this year?

I think Kimbolton Classic Car Show is on 19th July this year (which is the same weekend as Cholmondeley Pageant of Power at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire but not much else I can find).

I've not been to Kimbolton, do they like 'modernish' TVRs? Some shows round here are OK with us attending but don't seem as welcoming as they used to be(ie. no reduced entrance fee for post-92 cars).

I guess there's always the Newark Kit Car Show (20th/21st June). They seemed to love having all the TVRs there last year with S-Club.
