whats this...?

...the small rubber pipe that runs from the top of the crank case breather as it connects to the off side air box, across the top of the engine and appears to enter the bulk head near the battery...?
also, the small rubber pipe that leaves the bulkhead in a roughly the same area and connects into the back of the nearside air box..?
Is it the same pipe? If so, why does it enter the bulkhead? If it is the same pipe does it connect to something inside the car..?
Thanks in advance.

The small pipe that runs from the back of the n/s airbox through the bulkhead is the barometric air pressure sensor for the ECU.
Ah...so I need to retain it.Assume it is measuring the pressure in the air boxes then and isnt necessarliy anything to do with crankcase beathing...?
Reason I am asking is that the crank case beather filter on my car that sits on the bottom of the off side air box is beyond repair shall we say so I am re-directing the crank case breather via an in line filter to a oil catch tank.
But then I remembered this pipe...wondering if I simply plumb it into the air box as it is on the near side (assuming thats the same thing..)..?
Your reply explains why these pipe pass through the bulkhead...to connect to the ECU.
Thanks Tanguero
