manifold gaskets? does a AJP have them

I am in the middle of pulling my engine out and I have removed the manifolds and exhaust system and I can see I have no exhaust manifold gaskets only instant gasket stuff which is not very good.

Is there manifold gaskets for this engine?

I'm afraid I can't actually answer your question - but mine looks like it has been sealed up with silicon sealant - doesn't blow though

No the only gaskets in a AJP V8 are head gaskets.Black sealant is used everywhere else.I got my sealant from TVR Power

I was advised to use RTV high temp silicon sealant which is normally black and available from most motor factors. So far its been OK.

Inlet manifolds have gaskets, but not the exhaust

yes the inlet manifold gaskets are the sponge type edging right?
