Does anyone have any experience of replacing the servo motor on the driver's door latch?

Total restoration of the connectors in the door has not solved the opening problem and it looks as though the long-standing contact problems in the door have cooked the electric motor.

Is the servo/latch mechanism held in place by the three Allen bolts around the latch mechanism in the body? Is there any other way of getting access other than pulling the trim panel out around where the driver's belt exits?

Professional car electrician help but I think I need as much info as possible

Thanks for any thoughts.

Still driving/sliding it every day!

Or use the passenger door.

Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

Thanks for the tip about the part

Yes, entry by the passenger door is de rigueur these days and in no way leads to comments such as 'shouldn't you get a proper car' and 'you having problems again?'

I'd be bored with a car that worked all the time
