Looking for the door switch that lives on the bottom of the door on an early Cerb? Mine is being temperamental and not recognising that the door has closed, thus not dropping and raising the window when getting in and out and this also causes the interior light to stay illuminated.

I did look but couldn't see anything! The only thing from Maplins is the door opener solenoid but that doesn't look like the bit I am after.

Are you certain that's what's causing the problem?

Test it with a magnet.

It could also be dampness or a dry joint in the control box in the boot.

It was on mine.

Austec had a quick look during the week and said it was this that looked the most likely culprit. Had a look at the control box but at a glance everything looked to be in good nick.

I dount it to be honest. Cerberas use a reed switch and a magnet, and sadly not a simple microswitch like this one.

"RS Components, part no. 455-3744, this switch can be NC or NO, TVR use Normally closed circuit, so ignore the green wire and just use the white (common) and the brown. They are £6.72 + VAT each"
