out with some friends on monday night. i slowed down for the speed bump and the other guy didnt.

the result ? no back end any more!

however its all being fixed so not a prob. its given me chance to have a few extra bits sorted. like a full respray, and some retrimming so hears the question.

firstly do i have the sp6 light conversion im undecided?

second

what colour do i my retrim its dark blue at the min and very depressing. by the way the car is light blue like the one in the retrim thred in the mods forum however i dont like the black its just to dark in there.

third

which exhaust as mine is now bent. nothing ear bleedingly loud.

sp6 lights? absolutely, definately, positively, certainly yes!!!!!! looks so much better than standard, not that their bad, but......ooooohhhh

interior, i like the idea of a lamborghini style black leather and alcantara mix with a hint of carbon fibre and/or brushed aluminium.... going to the bathroom now.

Sorry about that old lad, I'm thinking if you have a respray, picture this... sp6 lights, glossy new paint, sharp new leather and, wait for it... A shiney black roof. Bang! there you go sounds perfect to me.shoot

I've got the dark blue leather in mine and know what you mean about the oppressive feeling...

I quite fancy replacing the dodgy check cloth on part of the door cards, roof lining etc with a nice light alcantara. I'll keep the leather though.

Exhaust: go for silverstone performance full system with linked decat. Pricey but astonishingly good IMO.

Exhaust: TrackCar's new jobbie sounds very promising
Interior: Proper sportscars have black interiors
Lights: Original, but replace the lights with HID's

One thing to bear in mind light cars tend to be more pleasing to the eye with a dark interior and vice versa. There are some exceptions to this though. On a light coloured car you could try Portland Grey with darker coloured seat squabs, arm rest, door panels, etc to break it up a bit.

Well, I'm biased. but depends what you want from a system. Personally I wouldn't touch the SP system as things have moved on and there's better and lighter systems around

As an alternative to the later light conversions have you thought about the VW LUPO lights .. look similar to the std lights but a more up to date lens, looks fresh and modern and the light output is said to be very good too. I cant remember who does the conversion, but ive seen it on a chimaera and it looked fresh and modern without going the whole hog to the separate later light versions. Just a thought smile

That reminds me of the old chesnut, What's red, green, yellow, mauve, pink and blue ?

...... An italian going out on a saturday night !

Beware of Alcantara .... My wife ordered it from the factory on her car and the driver's seat has worn to buggery.
(Sorry babe, that doesn't sound too good on re-reading it)
