I've got a number of things I need sorting out, so rather than post separate threads and clog up PH, I'll do it in one.

- Does anyone know whatthe equivalent part/source of the braided hose that goes from the top of the engine bay to the gearbox? Mines FUBARd.

- Can anyone recommend a good source for replacement brake hoses? Or are the 46 quid Goodridge ones on Ebay ok?

- Is there a replacement/upgrade throttle linkage for the Cerbera? The original ones have too much play in them. Well, mine do.

- From what source are the two sensors in the water pipe from? The ones near the front Rad.

And lastly, what is the best bettery to buy, as far as reliability/cranking power goes?

Thanks
Cad

There's no equivalent part for this hose, but just head down to your local Pirtek with you're old hose and they'll knock up a new one in 5 minutes.

I've been very happy with my goodridge hoses, and they generally come well regarded in the industry.

Not sure how much I can help with this one without knowing where the play is coming from. Mine dont have any significant play in them, so it is possible. Can you give a bit more description?

The one with what looks like a big spring wrapped round t is a cappilary tube, and is a sealed part of the water temp. gauge in the dash. If you want to replace this sensor then you would need to send the whole gauge/capillary/sensor assembly away to a specalist. The other sensor (the black one I think) is the electrical one that the ecu uses. I'm not sure where exactly its from, probably Ford I would think, but Clever Trevor sell them for 15 quid.

If you're wanting to fit a high performance batery, and dont mind spending a bit extra, then you're best bet would probably be an Optima Red Top. If money is no object (as in you dont mind spending almost 300 quid on a battery), then there's little that will match an Oddessy battery (circa 1000 CCA I think).

Rob, thanks for that comprehensive reply thumbup

The play is in the rod that goes between the two banks. Its the actual ball joint bit that the play is in. Maybe I just need a new one, but I was thinking there might be an upgraded/better crafted version. Maybe ACT or Leven.

Yep got mine from ondrive as well, makes balancing the engine so much easier as they have no play.
