I have tried fitting some spider wheels (from a T350) onto the cerb. I do not seem to have any problems regarding clearance even on full lock but only one rear wheel seems to sit correctly ie. the others have a gap of about 6mm between the back face of the wheel and the hub. Is it because the studs are too long on the cerb or any other ideas. I have the correct wheel nuts for the spiders from Racing Green by the way. Help please cos I am hoping to take it out on thursday!

All spiders are not the same. There are different offsets, you need to look at what you have and then you will get the right advice, if you can look at the info printed on the inside of the wheel and post it...

Ok thanks, i`ll do that.I still can`t see why that should affect the wheel seating against the hub though unless either the studs are too long or the wheel is touching somewhere in the centre preventing it from seating properly.

They come in 33mm and 42mm offset if i remember rightly, odds are you have one odd one. Look on the back and it is cast in it. The ones that sit farther out look a bit nicer but can scrape the inner arches, depends what day your car was made i spose.

Thanks for your help. You are right the fronts (42)are offset different to the rears (33) and are marked `front` and `rear`. I also measured the inside centre diameter of the wheel and realised the hub diameter was bigger because of a spacer ring. If I remove the ring the wheel seems to sit really snug and now pulls right back with no gap. I also ran the car in gear while on stands and the wheel is running perfectly true so I`m sure its sitting correctly now. Going to road test it now (slowly!) to see if the wheels are fouling specially on full lock. Thanks again guys.
