Currently in the states at the moment with work and nitrous kits are cheaper out here so im thinging of getting a kit as I have fitted one before and it was loads of fun!

My main question to anyone with experience on Nos, would you go for a 8 fogger direct port (probably fit the adaptors into the 8 intake pipes) or go for a duel fogger kit and fit them at the start of the air boxes?

Ill go for a wet kit so the engine hasn't got to supply any of its own fuel.

Cant answer your questions I'm afraid but is the engine really tough enough to take Nitrous! I thought it was more common to see this done on cast iron blocks, not light weight, fragile all alloy race engines?

I'd love to do it to improve the mid range grunt so I could pull out at 3500rpm rather than 5000rpm to overtake.

I can't imagine that NOS down the air intake is going to have a happy ending. NOS into the individual runners sounds like a much safer bet since you avoid any possible distribution problems and also minimise the 'wet' volume that is waiting to explode.

I would say same as Peter above. 8 port is the only way, also the airboxes on the cerb can be very badly sealed, would you really want nitrous and fuel going into an airbox that can leak over hot exhaust manifolds?

Someone call my name? hehe

Safest but not the easiest option is direct port. Both types of system will work but I just dont trust the fakey carbon intakes and knowing my luck I'd have had a leak in one and hit the button and crashed through laughing my t:ts off.

Go direct port and use the bolt hole that holds the intake sleeve the the purple pipes fit over. Thats is the best place to put them. Just drill/tap it out to the desired diameter and the rest is a piece of pi55 to fit.

If you need someone to do it for you Id recommend Dom at TVR power and get it mapped too if your planning on running more than 75bhp.

That looks good mate.... I'll have a look for a direct port system then, good looking setup as well!

Usually when the subject of nitrous crops up, the issue of insurance raises its ugly head and the idea falls flat. Is it for road use and if so, who is gonna quote you happy (or at all)?

I had it fitted to my 300zx but only used it for track days and on the airfield (im in the RAF) so would just have the bottle disconected with the main relay removed.

I only have one piece of advice for anyone seeking nitrous, do your research. Just because a kit is cheap does not mean it's good. Poor quality solenoids are not what you want!

P.S. You will need to get a UK bottle too, most legitimate companies in the UK will not refill American bottles, it's illegal as they don't meet EU legislation.
