A few months ago I had my Race Line 17s refurbished. The crowd that did it removed the valves and lost them, so the crowd that put the tyres back on put new valves in.

But they've been leaking ever since. Another crowd I took a wheel to yesterday said the valves were too small, and have ordered slightly larger (unusual) ones.

Anyone else have any experience of this? These valves are the rubber, push-in type. I'm wondering also if anyone has the screw-in type, maybe they'd be a better option?

If so, where to get and what size to ask for?

I had some 30 year old steel wheels widened not long back and i just took one into my local tyre place and asked for a set of valves for them, they gave them to me free of charge. smile

I fitted 18" Racelines with some old slicks on Thursday, i checked the pressures before going on track on Saturday, no pressure loss, i had just had them powder coated satin black and fitted tyres. No mention of funny valves when fitted.

So is anyone using screw-in valves, or are all the usual rubber push-ins?
