At the moment there are a lot of posts about people refurbing their cerbs, particularly stripping wishbones, polybushing etc. I know people are always doing things to their cars but it strikes me that this winter there has been a lot of people doing major work. Or am I completely wrong and only notice all the posts because I spending so much time doing mine??

Good photos!

It would be usefull to get an archive together maybe on this thread of the pictures and knowledge people have gleamed from the work they have done. This will hopefully encourage others to do the work and we may end up with more good cerbs than bad ones!

I know TT Tim has a very good website, I hope he doesn't mind me linking it below.....

yes

No photos yet (will sort all that once I'm done).
This weekend was due to be the one when the final bits go back together (just got to reassemble one side at the rear and fit the new handbrake shoes), but I've now decided to get back into the front and replace the discs and pads too (seeing as the rears have been renewed).

Assuming I can actually manage to stop finding more jobs to do, should be hot to trot in a couple of weeks - but now joo's gone, who am I going to get to do the set-up??

Yes, quite a bit or overhauling going on, but I fear more people will be doing projects at the end of the year.

I'm doing mine, thread is somwhere. will be updated soon.

I allways try to do my own work on my cars, its for self satisfaction and experience gaining. anything I think i can't tackle I will look to forums or for advice off specialists and if that doesnt work then ill pay for it to be done.

plus if it goes wrong then you have yourself to blame and not a feeling it was a garages or mechanics fault.

oh and its something you can be proud of, if it works LOL

Mine looks like this at the moment! frown

I had to take the engine out due to auxiliary shaft failure. Luckily I was only crawling when it decided to break- lost powersteering and oil pressure at the same time, engine off immediately! No internal damage caused, thank God!

I figured that I had two options. Either repair it and continue to use it, or take it off the road and build it into my perfect Cerbera. I'm never going to sell the car so I'm not in any particular rush to get it done, although I do miss driving it- I've only had it 18 months!

Eventually it'll have...
Chassis Refurb and Nitrons,
Engine rebuild,
Full Respray.

Then I'll be happy until it breaks againbiggrin

I have been doing mine now for the last few months. I have zinc coated the chassis, primed and painted it and have carried out various other upgrades as you may have seen from my other thread.

Well today is the day when the 2 will become 1 and the body will be put back onto the chassis.

So who wants to do a piece for sprint so the rest of us can benefit? BTW I have a big interest in this as I am probably going to do mine at the end of the year.

So if anyone wants to write a piece for Sprint, please let me know.... cerbed@tvrcc.com

Cheers,

Iain
